American Pig started in 1999 with a simple concept: A satirical view of the unique and often excessive aspects of the American lifestyle. The American Pig concept encompasses all aspects of our extraordinary culture, including commercialism, politics, pop culture, and topical issues.

As all artists do, we needed a medium. We chose fashion. What better way to reflect the current trends in American culture than with clever and satirical graphic images on t-shirts.

Over the past 9 years, the American Pig concept has grown into a brand called APB (American Pig Brand). The brand now includes much more than just t-shirt, so we thought we would go back to our roots a bit. As a tribute to the concept and how we started, we decided to launch americanpig.com.

This idea is very simple: we will offer one t-shirt per week, every week, for $15.00, available in both a men’s and women’s tee. After one week, they will go into the regular offering on ApbClothing.com at full price ($24-$30).

We also want to foster a community, as our concept is vast and encompasses all aspects of American culture, and often inspires debate. All designs and ideas are open for discussion in our blog. We also offer an ongoing challenge to submit your designs and let everyone vote on them to see which ones we print. If we print your design, you’ll get $250 and a bunch of free t-shirts!

americanpig.com is about interesting, high quality t-shirts with a message. After all, isn’t the American way about our freedom and our individualism, and the right we have to be our own spokespersons and proudly display our points of view and expressions?
